Yes, sushi is served. Thanks
I went with my Korean friend. The seafood noodles and sundubs here are excellent. When I ordered seafood noodles, I chose the hotness. Kimchi is easy to eat because it is cheap and not sour. One of my favorite restaurants.
Food was great. Good service. Edited: this has become a new favorite lunch spot. Bumping from 4 to 5 stars.
Excellent service... Nice portions. Soup and salad are small but on point! Bring your own beverage... Is nice especially if you bring a group of friends. Great casually atmosphere... The place has a small Asian village feel to it.
I order one of the boxes and didn't love it. My friends foods were definitely better. Prices are reasonable for what you get.
Very good food... good management and awesome and courteous people working and very friensly
Charming place with delightful service- mainly students, I imagine. The staff is most attentive and the selection is vast with Korean and Japanese specialties. Terrific atmosphere; I'm a fairly regular customer and appreciate the setting as well as the food.
Every dish was wonderful and the sushi too. They were pretty busy so the service was a tad slow but the effort was there.so I cannot hold that against them. Already looking forward to the next visit!
Always good and affordable 👌
Food is amazing, don't know what else to say.
Good sushi. Good service.
Over priced for mediocre food. Don't use their online menu, the prices are completely wrong and you'll end up spending $15 more than you thought. Very rude when I tried to tell them their prices are wrong.
So sorry about my last review. It was a mistake on my last review. My phone was ?? This place is amazing! Absolutely great service and good food !
It may look like a hole-in-the-wall at first, but don’t let this fool you. The food is AMAZING. LOVE their nabeyaki udon. The sushi is no slouch either. Clean place, attentive staff.
Setting is cozy, and service is fast and friendly, but the food was way too salty. I got the tofu yaki soba and my friend got the eel dish. Both came with a small salad with ginger dressing and miso soup, which were yummy.Unfortunately, my yaki soba was so salty that it felt abrasive on my tongue. The tofu was delicious, and the sauce was good, but there was twice as much sauce as necessary. The eel was also pretty salty, but very tender and still edible. We ended up taking the yaki soba home and stir frying it with a ton of plain vegetables to dilute the salt. It was good food, but just too salty.
Great Korean food. Sushi is a little over priced but they are good. Worth the money on special occasion.
My workmates really love this place and always suggest this place for lunch...But I experienced diarrhea once I had food there and vomited the very last time I had soondubu there. I do not know what is wrong between me and that place, but I try to avoid it after these two esperiences.
One of the better restaurants in Amherst, great sushi, okay Korean food. Seating is cozy.
My wife and I have been regular customers for years. We've never tried any dish here that we have not liked. The sushi is always fresh and yummy but the spicy chicken salad is my personal favorite. The staff are always friendly. You can even bring your own beer and wine.
Delicious sushi and other dishes. Great service!!!
Sushi was terrific! The meals were too hot on sizzling platters with old, diiscolored broccoli and burnt food at the bottom of our dishes. My son burned his hand attempting to turn the bowl and my salmon/crab dish sizzled for 15 minutes
We ordered the spicy yaki udon and salmon teriyaki, and both dishes were great. The staff are very nice and friendly. The korean host which i did not get a chance to ask for his name was specially friendly and seemed to be aware of our food concerns as Muslims. He also greeted us on our way out in arabic which was such a nice gesture. Will be back and not just because of how their tasty their noodles and salmon are, but also because of their friendly staff.
Food was good but we were forgotten about by the servers. I had 2 flag down 2 different servers just for water. I am hoping that was a fluke. Overall food was good.
Great place!! Everything tasted delicious and our waiter was very kind and attentive. The size of the meals are really big. Great place overall!
I love the variety of Korean and Japanese food here. Delicious!
I came to town with my family and House of teriyaki is definitely a place to go! The atmosphere of this place was lovely and my family had a great time here. 10/10 recommend! It is also BYOB and thats always a plus :)
We got to Amherst Massachusetts late and we had no idea where to eat and we saw this place and we went in the sushi with phenomenal the service was great everyone was friendly you bring your own wine...
The food was amazing! I got the Bulgogi Box and it was the perfect combination of Korean and Japanese food! It was absolutely delicious! I am very impressed. I would love to come here again sometime. The service was quick, as well.
Fantastic food. Great take out with enough for left overs
The calamari is pretty good. Food is delicious and decent portions. Nice cozy little place.
Always great food and service!
Best food I have ever eaten in my life, I would recommend to anyone wanting Korean/Japanese food. I'm going back again!
Excellent service. Amazing food. A Wonderful atmosphere
Quiet dignified atmosphere, fast attentive service, the food tasted like it did in Korea, and reasonably priced. Loved it!!!
You might think the price is expensive. However after you get the food, you will be surprised with the amount. Very fulfilling unlike other restaurant with actually overpriced menu. I extremely recommend this place. Plus, its BYOB.
HoT is the first place I've been to in Massachusetts where their 5 on a 1-5 spiciness scale actually adds up to a 5. True, I'm from Texas and perhaps a little biased, but still.Anyways, their menu is extensive and it's hard for me to ever pick a single dish to order - it's all so good! Their sushi is reliable, and their noodles are filling. There's plenty of room to dine in, but takeout is an option as well!
Really good food with great balance and flavor.
While living in the Pioneer Valley there aren't as many options for Asian restaurants as in Boston, but I have so many fun memories of meeting with my friends here with my friends for Lunch and Dinner to catch up on life. We didn't have cars, so it was extremely convenient that this place was right along the North Amherst/Sunderland Bus Route. When I've gone during lunch, I enjoyed the lunch specials, which come with a soup and salad. I've tried the H.O.T. box which comes in a cute bento box. It has the standard chicken teriyaki with some tempura veggies and shrimp with some basic sushi rolls. The prices are very reasonable and filling for $13. My favorite though was probably the Salmon Donburi. It looks so delicious just from the photo. Anyway it's not a big deal that this place does not have a liquor license since you can BYOB.The place does tend to get quite crowded on the weekends and nights so if you go with a large group of people then, be prepared to wait.
House of teriyaki has a lot of great menu options for asian cuisine. Their food is delicious, and their staff is friendly. The dining area has a relaxing atmosphere. Their sushi is also very good too. They have bento boxes, which are a great value.
Food was great! We ordered a sashimi plate, 911 sushi roll and tempura roll for appetizers. All tasted excellent. My only disappointment is the cut of sashimi pieces which are unusually small compared to all other Japanese restaurants I have eaten at. For the main dish, we had the Korean Galbi beef on a sizzling plate. It was very tasty and delicious. I love coming to this place whenever I feel like eating korean/Japanese food. I recommend trying it out. Price is okay for what it’s worth. It’s not cheap but at least you get to enjoy party in your mouth.
Both the environment and food were great!
Amazing place to go eat Korean food
Oh how HOT has fallen. What was one of the best sushi places in area now is among worst. We had a lunch there and the sushi made us ill! The setting is in decline, ripped cushion in the booths, they also didn't bother turning on the air conditioning even though it was over 85 outside (warmer inside). Too bad, used to be good.
Highly recommend the chicken teriyaki. Fantastic sushi as well
Food was amazing 5 star worthy and my waiter was really cute i looked at her and she blushed
Everything...I repeat...EVERYTHING is delicious. My personal favorite is the dol seafood bok kum. If you are a Zoomass student looking for a great date spot or just a level up from berk and oak room... this is the place you wanna be. Each dish on the dinner menu comes with miso soup and a small salad to get your taste buds going. For sushi, I’ve tried them all but will always recommend the paradise roll
The food is good but extremely overpriced. They must increase the price every year because they have 3 different online menus with different prices so make sure you call and ask the price before ordering. I went there expecting to pay one price and went I got there it was several dollars more than what the menu online said and when I showed them they told me to look at another menu online which was still wrong and finally after I showed them again they said they gotta fix it(they didn’t).Personally I think Gohyang in Hadley is better. Same food but for a lower price plus it’s byob.
Excellent food. A little understaffed.
This is our favorite place to go for lunch when we're in the area. The sushi is fresh, perfectly tender and delicious. I'd definitely recommend the tuna nigiri and the crunchy roll.
Great service and amazing food! Seafood jjambong(noodles) was beyond my expectation. You should definitely try it if you are a seafood lover!
My husband and me have had great dinners in the House of Teriyaki. Delicious Korean and Japanese food and sushi rolls. My favorite dinner is having the Seafood teriyaki plate, the shrimps, scallops, mussels and salmon, everything in it is taste. We like also the soups and salads, and enjoy a lot the sides. The restaurant is well decorated, ambience is cozy and people is very friendly. We always go back there!
